Daily Life

I just need prayers right now a few stressful things going on in my life, not anything bad just daily life. You know how sometimes daily life just seems to wear you down a little bit our finances are very tight with college loans right now, and we pay for Jace's pre-school and they have had a price increase because they are building a new school it's a christian school so we want to keep him there. I am telling myself this is silly to stress about because there are people in much worse shape with physical and financial problems and God always takes care of us, so sorry about the post sometimes it helps to vent.

Trolley Downtown Little Rock

The trolley car's in downtown Little Rock started in 2004 and has stops in Little Rock and North Little Rock. It's a cheap fun thing to do as it has stops at the Clinton Presidential Library, the rivermarket and the Heifer International global village or you can just ride and enjoy the view as Jace did last night , he loved it but he called it the train....Barb

Hey guys, thanks for all the birthday wishes! I had a wonderful day and had many nice birthday gifts. Today we have had a high pollen count here and my allergies are going nuts everything outside has a nice yellow haze on it we have had so much rain I guess its helped until now. I saw an indigo bunting on one of my birdfeeders today I couldn't get a photo of it because it was gone before I could get back with my camera. The photographer that Lauren is working for is going to let her add a hair and makeup package to his services so she is very excited, he is also teaching her alot about photography which she also loves. Hurt Feelings

Today one of my friends said something that really hurt my feeling, she is a very blunt and strong personality type person and most of the time I just ignore it but today it just got on my last nerve. I always try to think before I speak and say something that would hurt someone's feelings, if you were me would you say something or just let it go? I am praying about this and maybe I need to limit the time I spend with her.....Barb

Bird Watching

This is what I have been doing this weekend, I have cleaned and filled up birdfeeders. Jace helped me this afternoon refill feeders he is spending the night tonight because mommy is going to the Nickleback concert tonight. We have had goldfinches, cardinals, purple finches and chickadees to name a few. I should be seeing doves soon and I also planted some sunflower seeds friday to entice more birds to the backyard. 14 Minutes!

I know my post's the last few weeks have been boring for you guys, but this bootcamp program has been pretty intense for me, but I have lost 5 pounds and my cardio has improved so much and I am toning up after dealing with my knee the past year. Mr. Trainer had us meet him at the local high school track tonight and my stomach was in knots all day because we were running a mile. He told us just to push ourselves as much as we could and focus on our breathing and ourselves well most of us had to run,walk,run but we all finished. My knee is a little sore but with some ice and advil its fine and I am so proud of myself. Just had to share this with you guys....Barb

Easter Egg Hunt At Church Today

This morning at church was the easter egg hunt at church, Jace would only pick up colors that he liked and put them in his basket. Most of the small kids were doing that and the older ones it didn't matter. They also had cupcakes and punch so lots of sugar in their diets today. The cross sits in our family center decorated with flowers until easter, I meant to take a pic of the cross in front of the church with a black sash on it but forgot to do that. Spaghetti Chicken Toss

Spaghetti Chicken Toss



5 green onions minced 1 lb. skinned chicken breast

1 Tbls. minced garlic 2 Tbls. margarine

2 Tbls. olive oil 3 Tbls. lemon juice

1 tea. seasoning salt 1/2 tea. lemon pepper

3 tea. parsley 1 7 oz. package spaghetti cooked


In a large skillet saute onions and garlic in margarine and olive oil for 2-3 minutes, add all seasonings , lemon juice and chicken chopped in bite size pieces cook 10-15 minutes or until chicken is done. Toss spaghetti with chicken mixture and enjoy. ( I use low-fat margarine and whole grain spaghetti but you can use any type you enjoy)....Barb

Mommy and her boy!

Rachel had a nice birthday, we celebrated Sunday with her I made spaghetti chicken toss, salad and french bread. I also made a birthday cake and chocolate covered strawberries, Lauren brought her new boyfriend and Rachel has started dating a young man she knew from high school. They went to church sunday and she picked up her puppy ( a gift she gave herself) a miniature chihuahua that she named Marley and Jace is in love with the puppy. She seems very happy and has decided the relationship with her ex-husband is never going to work out, he is not interested in counseling and doesn't want to be a full time parent, so I am just praying that God when the time is right will send her a christian man that will love her and Jace. I have started my second week of boot camp workouts and I think I am seeing some changes in my body (yeah) and I am trying to finish my kitchen cabinets, I will try and post the recipe for the spaghetti chicken toss soon. It's an easy recipe and very good, may you all have a wonderful and blessed day....Barb

Palm Sunday

Little Rock Air Force Base

We went out to the Little Rock Air Force base today for our monthly trip and took Jace with us and of course we had to stop and look at the planes and he had to touch each one. We went over to the flight line also to see if any were getting ready to land or take off and they had a navy fighter jet there that we could see from a distance that he loved. Fun day for Gigi and Papaw and Jace.....Barb

Yesterday I told you this week last year we were on a cruise, we drove down to Galveston, Texas the day before and spent the night at Hotel Galvez which is a beautiful historic hotel built in 1911. It is across from the beach and the gulf, it has an old world spanish style which is beautiful and last April the grounds of the hotel were so pretty. We ate some fresh shrimp and had wonderful margaritas and a relaxing walk along the beach before bed. The next morning we had a nice brunch before catching the shuttle to the ship, the hotel let us leave my car for the week since we spent the night. We had a glass of champagne after we checked in at the ship, we always cruise on Royal Caribbean so we get some free perks such as champagne. I hope after the hurricane last year after we visited that everything has been restored because Galveston is a fun quaint little place to visit. Well I need to go change and get ready for my next exercise class hope you all enjoy hearing about my vacation memories take care and God bless....Barb

Last Year This Week

Yes, I survived last night. I thought I was going to throw up once and pass out once but I made it, it's been over a year since I last worked out because of my knee and knee surgery and boy have I got out of shape in a year. I think I drank too much water before I went, there are 10 of us in the class and one had a muscle spasm and two others felt like throwing up during the class and a few right after class. We have class tuesdays, thursdays and saturdays. Also last year this week we were on a cruise headed to Montego Bay Jamacia and Grand Caymen Islands so I have been daydreaming of that this week. I'll tell you more about the cruise later this week, right now we have Jace for a little while and I am going to go play with him before I take him home take care.....Barb
