I have been working in my yard today and summer is here in central Arkansas, the temp today was around 90. That's not too bad but we have alot of humidity here so that always makes it feel hotter. I wanted to show you a few things I have blooming right now, I also have roses,butterfly bush, other types of daylilies and lavender blooming. The bees and butterflies are having a feast right now....Barb

Oh Deer!

This is what I saw at work today and doe and her fawn, I work in Little Rock where there is a hospital, medical buildings, neighborhoods ect. we have a few wooded areas around our office but this is rare to see in the city. We were all running from window to window watching them until they disappeared, earlier this year we saw a buck with two does so I guess this was a result of that sighting. We were all trying to get a photo but couldn't get a good one so this is not my photo, but this is exactly what we saw....Barb

Thank You for My Freedom

For my husband who spent 15 years active duty and 10 years in the reserve for a total of 25 years serving our country and protecting our freedoms and all the other veterans past and present and the men and women presently serving in the armed forces I give you my thanks and prayers that I live in a free world and have the choices that I have. Jace had his birthday party at a local bowling alley,they put up guardrails on one of the lanes for the little kids so they could bowl without gutter balls. We had a fun afternoon with him, it's amazing how this little guy stole my heart three years ago. Gigi loves you Jace.

Happy 3rd Birthday

Today May 23rd is Jace's 3rd birthday, he is having a spiderman party at his request. I hope to have pictures of the party later.The party is at 2:00 and he has been so excited all morning he wants to go to "his birthday" as he keeps saying. My daughter has also been working on potty training and he just doesn't seem that interested (he goes but is just not consistent) she keeps asking me for tips and I am sure I'm not much help since I raised two daughters and from what I can remember they both were easy to potty train, so anybody out there with boys if you have any tips let me know. He's ready to be moved up to the three year old pre-school class except for using the potty consistent

Jace when he was a newborn

These are of my little man when he was a newborn, the top photo he is laying on a quilt made by his great great grandmother that I have had for about 28 years. The bottom photo was him in his swing one of the places that he slept most of the time because he was content there, my daughter had a c-section because of pre-clampsia so it was easy for her to pick him up out of the swing. I would go over everyday after work because I couldn't bear to not see him and also to cook and clean for Rachel the first month.That summer I was so tired because she would call me in the middle of the night when he wasn't sleeping and sometimes I would get in my car and drive to her house thank goodness she lives about 5 minutes from me and then I would come back home around 5:30 and get ready for work, but it was a sweet time also seeing her become a mom and for me being able to help. Just a few memories I wanted to share....Barb
