My sweetie at cracker barrel this week, we went and had breakfast for dinner and of course some bubble gum in a transformer container. My mom has had a rough week, she has not felt well after her dialysis treatments and she saw the cardiologist yesterday to have her pacemaker checked and her heartbeat is running a little fast, he took her off one medication and started a new one....Barb

Riverfeast Amphitheater

This weekend is Riverfest a music and art festival that always kicks off the summer here and is held on Memorial day weekend. This year some of the bands are the Steve Miller band, The Black Crowes, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Uncle Kracker, Gary Allan, Blake Shelton and many others along with some local bands. Memorial day is observed to honor and remember those whom have served in military service and died for our country and for that I am forever grateful....Barb

Happy 4th Birthday!

Sunday May 23rd is Jace's birthday but we had his party today, pizza, batman and little boys everywhere! Rachel had his party at a local pizza shop and he had a blast and who knew there were so many batman toys. Afterwards he had a Tball game so he is one tired little boy....Barb

Today I went by on Lauren's lunch hour and she took me to a yummy place for lunch, and some dessert. My mom is going home from the hospital tomorrow and doing ok, she will have dialysis three times a week and I'm sure it will be ups and downs from now on....Barb

This afternoon after visiting with my mom I went downtown to the Jewish food festival, my husband and some of the other police officers worked the event. I enjoyed some wonderful food and music and the fresh air and saw a few friends. My mom is doing much better they had her up sitting in a chair today and for a short walk, she asked me to continue to enjoy life and have some fun everyday. Today life seemed a little sweeter....Barb

This week!

My mom has been in critical care in the hospital, she had a kidney transplant 28 years ago and is now back in renal failure they placed a temporary port in her neck for dialysis and thursday night after her blood pressure spiked and her heartrate plummeted they discovered a heart problem and put a pacemaker in yesterday and she's doing much better today and was moved back to a room on the hospital floor. She will be on dialysis three times a week now and I don't believe she will be able to have another transplant with the other medical conditions going on but she is a fighter and seems to be at peace with whatever happens. As stressful as it is I've seen God's strength and blessings this week....Barb

Happy Mother's Day!

For my two beautiful daughters for making me a mom, it's been one of the hardest but most rewarding jobs I've ever had. As I see you both growing into women that I respect and admire and I love you both more than there's stars in the sky and fish in the ocean.

We have had severe thunderstorms and tornado's friday and saturday night here, and I hate storms especially when the tornado sirens are going off continually and it always happens when I'm home alone! Several areas of the state were hit by tornados with injuries and loss of life, please remember those in your prayers....Barb
