Mena is a small town at the base of Rich mountain that is part of the Ouachita mountains, my husbands grandparents lived there when he was younger and we found their old house and talked to the people that bought it from his grandpa Charlie and they kindly let us take a few photos which I will share tomorrow. Mena had a large tornado earlier this year April 9th,2009 that killed 3 people and injured 30 which destroyed parts of the town but, they seem to have recovered for the most part. We enjoyed walking around town and browsing at the cute shops and old buildings....Barb

So sorry to know about this terrible tornado, this city is so lovely, you took great pictures. I specially liked that with rail ( great perspective and composition) and the first shot as well!

Love that drive to Mena! My hubby used to go to all the car shows on the mountain. He is a 55 and 57 Chevy lover!
Didn't know they had a tornado damage parts of the town.
